비밀 정도로 대충 뜻은 알았는데 정확한 뉘앙스를 아직 잘 모르겠다. 동의어도 진짜 많아서 차이점을 대충 조사해봤다.

Clandestine - concealment (as in working out a plan) and usually evil or illicit

Surreptitious - stealthy and furtive actions + emotions/desires/concrete things, concealed for fear of discovery would lead to violation of a right, a law, a custom, or a standard.
